Thomas John Coetzee (Sean)
is a seasoned financial markets professional with over 38 years of experience spanning equities shares, derivatives, forex, CFDs, money markets and digital assets. Sean is also an SAIFM Board Member.
He founded Khwezi Financial Services in 2013, serving as CEO, Director and Key Individual across both Category I and II licences, and later helped guide the organisation through its transition to ATFX Global, where he continued as CEO and Director of the ODP until 2025.
Sean has extensive regulatory expertise, having acted as Internal Compliance Officer and FIC AML/ATF Officer for more than a decade, and has completed RE1, RE3 and RE5. A long-standing member of the South African Institute of Financial Markets (Fellow since 2018), he has been registered with the JSE since 1998 and previously traded on the JSE open outcry floor and SAFEX.
He has also developed and delivered market education programmes, including a Technical Analysis course and recent training related to cryptocurrency and blockchain.
